Suggestion for Fellow Harry Potter Fans

As I have gathered, there are quite a few Harry Potter fans in the class. For those who may be interested, I am currently reading Harry, A History by Melissa Anelli, webmistress of the Leaky Cauldron. The book concerns itself with the rise of the phenomenon that is Harry Potter. I am about halfway through myself and have found it very enjoyable. It even occasionally brings a tear of joy to the eye. Of course, my obsession with Harry is probably unhealthy, but nevertheless, it is worth checking out.

  1. I saw your copy in class...I was eyeing it all the way across the room. Ha. It is now on my "to-do" list. I follow the Leaky Cauldron somewhat, but my faithful fansite of choice is Mugglenet.com. I love their podcast, too, even though now they've slowed quite a bit.

  2. Mugglenet.com is a wonder in itself. I'm so glad you brought it up! I agree, back in the day (being just last year), I was a faithful subscriber to their podcast and had it automatically set to download. All those kids did such a wonderful job with up-to-date news, discussing the possibilities yet to come when the series was still being written, and including their listeners in weekly segments. It was amazing to see such passion from readers and dedication to such frequent podcasts.
Obviously they have slowed down a good bit, but this is to be expected with the series being wrapped up. There's not really much to discuss now that everything has been revealed. At least we still have the remaining movies to look forward to though. And mugglenet.com does a great job of updating the public when news becomes available in regards to them still.

  3. I love Mugglecast, have any of you checked out the site they made called Mugglespace? It's like the Harry Potter myspace. Also, their podcast Imprint is really good if you like the Twilight Saga, and they have a website called Twilight Source.

  4. Oh my gosh. I am going to have to stop reading this. I do not need any more websites that take away time that I should be spending studying. I mean, Natalie can attest to my complete addiction to twilighted.net. It's pretty sad. And I'm subscribed to roughly a million HP/Twilight podcasts.

And now that I'm thinking about my ipod....Harry and the Potters. Obviously I'm a little late on the wizard rock genre; it just came up in the book. But Harry and the Potters are hilarious - check them out.

  7. I'm really excited about the theme park too. I really hope that the Exhibit comes near Alabama. Have any of you seen this, they are putting scenery and props on display for the public. It's starting out in Chicago and it will go to other places.

  8. Are you serious? I guess I'm heading off to see the exhibit...and I'll definitely be at opening day at the theme park.

I'm going to be in England this summer...I will somehow go to the London movie premiere. Oh Harry.
