Salad Fingers
For some reason, certain parts of this collection remind me of the famous e-cartoon series Salad Fingers. It was fairly popular a few years back, and definitely has an atmosphere of psychological horror that matches well with, say, "Best New Horror." Pretty surreal stuff; I'm a fan.
Just remember to turn off the lights and up the volume when you watch them. Clicky my linky.
Dan....I'm so excited that someone else is a fan of Salad Fingers. This gives me hope that I'm not completely alone in enjoying such...unique art.
For those who aren't familiar, and I'm assuming that is majority of you sadly, Salad Fingers is a surreal psychological horror Flash cartoon series. It is more of an 'underground' animation, I know I first discovered it on Weebl's World (a winning website). It is extremely disturbing at times, I have to admit, but nothing is quite better than watching it alone in the dark, you can really appreciate the horror of it this way....
The above picture and idea of "red water" was found at least in my story, "The Cape". Although "red" and "water" are two very harmless and horrorless words, I believed that when combined, they do inspire a little more horror versus just using the word "blood".
And now, for everyone's viewing pleasure, I shall provide you links to some of my favorite episodes of Salad Fingers that I went back and dug up. Although I will throw in a disclaimer, I stress their possible disturbance
This picture freaks me out every time...

I have to say, I sat and watched the entire series that was available with your link, Dan, and I love it. Wish I'd found it earlier.
ReplyDeleteCreator David Firth's own website, full of disturbing stuff, is here.
